A Somatic Approach to Healing
Understanding our struggles can be valuable, but insight alone does not always create change.
Many emotional difficulties are held not just in our thoughts, but in our bodies, nervous systems, relationships, and unconscious patterns. Somatic therapy works with these deeper layers to support lasting healing and transformation.
Rather than focusing solely on talking about problems, we also pay attention to present-moment experience — emotions, bodily sensations, tension, impulses, and nervous system responses. These often provide a direct pathway to unresolved experiences that words alone cannot fully reach.
My Approach
I integrate a range of body-based and experiential approaches, including:
- Brainspotting (similar to EMDR)
- Inner child & Parts work
- Family Constellations
- Inter-generational trauma
- Embodiment Practices
Every session is tailored to your unique needs. Some sessions may involve deeper processing, while others focus on understanding, grounding, and building capacity.
What Can It Help With?
Somatic therapy can be effective for:
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Trauma and PTSD
- Developmental and attachment wounds
- Low self-worth and shame
- Relationship difficulties
- Burnout
- Emotional overwhelm
- Psycho-somatic symptoms
- Inter-generational and family issues
- Feeling stuck in repeating patterns
The Goal
The aim of this work is not simply to manage symptoms, but to help you feel more connected to yourself.
As unresolved experiences are processed and integrated, many people experience greater calm, resilience, clarity, self-compassion, and a deeper sense of presence in their daily lives.
