Mentoring is a type of relationship which seeks to guide people in a way that supports and enriches their lives. The focus of my offering is to support your overall wellbeing which includes your physical, emotional and psychological needs. This work can be done on a short, medium or long-term basis depending on what guidance you are seeking. Listed below are the areas which can be developed within the mentoring relationship:

  • Finding meaning and purpose
  • Self-reflection and inquiry
  • Self-awareness
  • Self-confidence and assuredness
  • Self-acceptance and compassion
  • Self-integrity and authenticity
  • Motivation and creativity
  • Letting go of repressed emotions and limiting beliefs
  • Emotional literacy and understanding
  • Inner balance and peace
  • Patience and calmness
  • Mindfulness and meditation practices

It is different to counselling in a number of key ways:

  • There is a present-future focus, rather than present-past
  • We discuss direction and purpose
  • It is not the space to deeply explore past traumas
  • The relationship is not as formal, and it can be offered to those that are connected to the mentor in their social sphere
  • It can be offered to those without any mental/emotional health issues that would like to develop practices such as meditation and mindfulness

If you would like to learn more about this process, please don’t hesitate get in touch.
